Southern Rock Band Southern Cross will Play STXM 2010 on Sunday Mar. 21 from 3:15pm-4pm

The road that Southern Cross has traveled has been a long one considering that when the concept was developed it was the height of the "Disco Craze". Through patience and a lot of rip-roaring, hell raisin' nights the dream that music would return to it’s roots endured.

The Southern Cross Band - They come from all over and from every background imaginable. They are men who love hard, play hard and will go on to die with their unbending will still intact.

The men who make up the group Southern Cross come from all different walks of life, joining together for a common cause. Through their music they express what cannot be said in words. "We are proud of our heritage and will continue to try to make a difference for the better with our music. Try to find the deep meaning in our songs, it’s there in every one of them".

The members of Southern Cross are as varied as the backgrounds from whence they came. Ranging from the Garden State of New Jersey and the foothills of Tennessee to the swamps of Louisiana and the bayous of Southeast Texas they have a common cause, play music for the people that relates to everyday life and the joys and sorrows that accompany it. Formed in early 1986 under the name Renegade, Southern Cross, had enjoyed instant success in the dingy little roadhouses that they usually called home. They broke into the major markets in Texas with a vengeance and drive that had not been seen since a certain "Little Ole Band From Texas" had hit the big time.
